Ardmore

A cotton and oil boomtown.

Our story is Oklahoma’s story.

Ardmore began in 1887 as a stop along the route of the Santa Fe Railroad, but this is far from the only unique cultural characteristic about this early Oklahoma town. Ardmore was one of our nation's cotton capitals until oil made it one of the biggest boomtowns in the Southwest. Both of these economic kick starters gave Ardmore the baseline and resilience to become one of the most thriving economic centers of southern Oklahoma.
