Moore

From boxcar beginnings to vibrant community.

Our story is Oklahoma’s story.

The 1889 Land Run left the empty prairie peppered with hardy settlers like Al Moore. To make sure he received his mail, he painted his name on the side of a boxcar home and the town of Moore was born. This “minute city,” so styled because of the short commutes to major employers in the metropolitan area, offers  access to the resources of the surrounding metropolitan area while maintaining a community feel. The strong residents of Moore have overcome much to become the shining example of courage and community it is today.
