Blackwell

A view from the top of Oklahoma.

Our story is Oklahoma’s story.

Established along the Chikaskia River in the 1893 Cherokee Outlet Land Run, Blackwell’s economy has been driven by a combination of agriculture and income from nearby oil and gas activity. In its early days, this town at “the top of Oklahoma” was an agricultural trade center, shipping untold tons of wheat, corn, flour, hogs and cattle to markets across the United States.
