Muskogee

As an early trading post on America's frontier, Muskogee had one valuable and rare feature.

Our story is Oklahoma’s story.

As an early trading post on America's frontier, Muskogee had an early commitment to inclusion of the indigenous tribes of the area within its society. The promotion and support offered by “Indian Fairs”,  also called Inclusion Fairs, had a far-reaching impact beyond just Oklahoma. Muskogee, in the 20th and 21st centuries, has maintained its industries of materials distribution and agriculture. As well as this commitment to industrial support, Muskogee has been host to numerous institutions of higher education that bind the community together, as well as bolster the skills of its residents.
