The black gold that fueled Glenpool’s boom.

Our story is Oklahoma’s story.

On November 22, 1905, oil was struck and the Glenn Pool Field was born – one of the largest oil finds in the southwest. The resulting economic boom propelled Tulsa and created the town of Glenpool. Glenpool became a suburb and bedroom community for nearby larger metropolitan areas, but still honors its roots with an annual Black Gold Days festival.

A discovery that would change the American oil industry.
