In the late 1920s and early 1930s, American cities had a problem: traffic congestion. In just Oklahoma, the number of cars on the road grew exponentially, from 3,000 in 1913 to 500,000 by 1930. Streets meant for horse and carriages had to support hundreds of cars to and from work every day, and then there was the question of parking. Enter, Carl C. Magee and Gerald A. Hale and their Park-O-Meter.
